The Effects of Subjective Health Status, Climacteric Symptoms and Coping Behaviors of Office Workers Men on Mid-life Crisis

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to identify influencing factors on mid-life crisis of office workers men in mid-life crisis and provide the basic materials to devise effective management methods and nursing education program for overcoming mid-life crisis. The subjects in this study were office workers middle aged men who lived in G and J. The number of the selected middle aged men was 121. The collected date were analyzed with independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson¡¯s correlation coefficients and stepwise regression analysis. As a results, the most powerful influencing factors on mid-life crisis of office workers is climacteric symptoms. The other factors are relationship with spouse, drinking and coping behaviors. These factors explained 74.1% of the variables in mild-life crisis. Results suggest that this study provides useful information that management of climacteric symptoms is very important for office workers to control their mid-life crisis. Based upon the results, this study provides useful information that could control mil-life crisis among office workers and indicated that nursing intervention is needed.
